“We hope to keep donating horses for years to come,” said Eric Barton, president, CEO and owner of Roane County’s LexLin Gypsy Ranch. The ranch breeds Gypsy Vanner horses, 20 of which were gifted over the weekend to equine therapy centers across the country.
Field of DREAMS

LexLin Gypsy Ranch in Roane County usually sells between 40-50 horses a year, but that’s not what President, CEO and owner Eric Barton likes most about his breeding operation.

“I really like the donations more than the sells,” he said.

Saturday was a big day for him. LexLin held its fourth annual Passing of the Lead ceremony, where it donates Gypsy Vanner horses to equine therapy centers from around the country.
