John T. McCormick of Kingston was named to the dean’s list at Coastal Carolina University for fall semester.

Full-time freshmen with at least a 3.25 grade-point average and upperclassmen earning a GPA of 3.5 are named to the dean’s list.

Coastal Carolina University is a liberal arts university in Conway, S.C.
 

Courtney Harris recently graduated from Austin Peay State University.

She graduated during fall commencement exercises with a bachelor’s degree in marketing.

She is the daughter of Jeff and Sylvia Harris. Her father, a Harriman native, is a former Harriman High School student and basketball player.

Harris’ grandmother is Julia Harris of Harriman.

Austin Peay is in Clarksville.
 

Sarah Caroline Oliver of Kingston has been named to the fall semester dean’s list at Radford University in Virginia

Oliver is a freshman dance major.

To be named to the dean’s list, a student must have taken 15 or more credit hours and have a grade-point average of 3.4 or above with no grade below a C.
 

Roane State Community College’s Oak Ridge campus will host College Goal Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. Feb. 13.

High school seniors, their parents or anyone interested in attending college in the fall will have the opportunity to talk with Roane State representatives about applying for college and about receiving financial aid.

The Oak Ridge event is one of several College Goal Sundays planned across the state that day.
