  • THP to conduct sobriety checks in Roane County

    The Tennessee Highway Patrol will conduct holiday sobriety checkpoints the next two weeks at Poland Hollow Road in Roane County.

    The checkpoints will take place from 1 to 2 p.m. Dec. 25 and Dec. 31.

    Recognizing the danger presented to the public by intoxicated drivers, troopers will concentrate their efforts on vehicles being operated by intoxicated drivers.

    The Tennessee Highway Patrol has found these sobriety checkpoints to be an effective means of enforcing DUI laws of Tennessee while ensuring the protection of all motorists.

  • THP to conduct license checks in Roane Co.

    The Tennessee Highway Patrol will be conducting driver license roadside safety checkpoints from 9 to 10 p.m. during the week of Dec. 11 on Hwy. 27 at the Morgan County line.

    Recognizing the danger presented to the public by unqualified drivers, troopers will concentrate their efforts on vehicles being operated by drivers who would violate the driver license laws of Tennessee.
