The public finally got to see video of the Feb. 9 shooting involving Roane County Sheriff’s Deputy John Mayes and suspect Christopher Lee Powers.

It was shown Monday during Powers’ preliminary hearing in Roane County General Sessions Court.

“Don’t do it, don’t do it,” Mayes yelled as Powers sat behind the steering wheel of a vehicle he had just crashed at the Interstate 40, Exit 340 ramp.

Powers didn’t comply and rammed Mayes’ police cruiser head on, the video shows.
