Food stores in Harriman and Kingston — and all across Tennessee — are unveiling their wine selections in preparation of Friday’s first official day of sales in supermarkets.

At least three Roane County grocery stores are well-prepared for Friday’s landmark wine sales kick-off.

Kroger in Midtown and Food City stores in Harriman and Kingston have been stocking up for the big day, which will be the first for grocery stores across the state.

“We got our last shipment today,” said Tony Brogan, lead assistant manager for Kingston’s Food City. “We are ready and expect a big impact with the sales.
