In a time when many are searching under seat cushions for extra quarters, the city of Kingston looks to be turning down a big wad of bills.
Officials want to reject a $150,000 grant from the Federal Rural Development Administration for improvements to the Kingston Public Library.
At a Sept. 6 work session, Kingston City Council moved to draft a motion to withdraw its request for the grant, which was filed two years ago. The grant was unexpectedly received this past June.
