The Roane County Tea Party hosted a candidates forum for road superintendent at the Kingston Community Center last Thursday.
All three candidates — Jim Beason, Dennis Ferguson and Brian Mullins — attended.
The road superintendent job pays $76,407. The hopefuls spoke about their qualifications, backgrounds and issues facing the road department.
“I’ve been employed with the department for 36 years,” Beason said. “I’m the foreman down there now.”
