    Clint Taylor Hallcox and Tara Lee Albright were married on May 15 in Luminary United Methodist Church, Ten Mile.

    The Rev. Louis Rouse officiated during the 1 p.m. ceremony.

    The bride is the daughter of Jim and Ingrid Albright of Philadelphia. She is a 2008 graduate of Midway High School.

  • Kingston native Wright to sing this weekend for hometown audience

    Singer-songwriter and Kingston native Woody Wright will make multiple appearances in the East Tennessee area this weekend.

    A featured artist with the “Gaither Homecoming” series and a gospel recording artist, Wright will be the guest speaker as he revisits some of his school teachers at the Oct. 8 Roane County Retired Teachers luncheon in Kingston Community Center.  

    Later that day, he will perform the national anthem with the Roane County High School marching band at Nat Sugarman Field prior to the homecoming football game.

  • Noah Samuel Wheeler

    Noah Samuel Wheeler celebrated his 10th birthday on Sept. 12.

    He celebrated with a Tennessee Titans-themed party at Kingston Community Center pool with relatives and friends.

    He is the son of Richard and Carla Wheeler of Kingston.

    Grandparents are R.L. Lawson of Harriman and the late Shirley Lawson, and Richard and Elizabeth Wheeler of Harriman.

    Noah has a younger sister, Alyson.

    Jace Simeon Tedder celebrated his seventh birthday on Aug. 23.

    He celebrated with a monster truck-themed party with relatives and friends.

    He is the son of Marty and Robin Tedder of Harriman.

    Grandparents are Charles and Becky Lamance and Ernest and Barbara Tedder, all of Harriman.

    Jace has a 19-month-old brother, Cole Thomas Tedder.

  • Kingston OK'd for park grant

    The city of Kingston has been approved for a $68,000 state grant for a playground project.

    “Our parks are very important to our community, and I am very pleased that we will be receiving this grant,” said state Sen. Ken Yager upon learning about the Local Parks and Recreation Fund grant from Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation Commissioner Jim Fyke.

    “I look forward to seeing the improvements that will come as a result of this grant,” Yager added

    Daughter of Richard Smith of  Harriman and sister of Crystal Hutchens of Paris, she is a 2008 graduate of Henry County High School, Paris.

    He celebrated with a “Cars” movie-themed party with relatives and friends.

    He is the son of Steven and Krystal Hennager of Rockwood.
