Last year, on Dec. 6, I fell down a flight of stairs at my home and suffered an extensive open wound on my left arm, which was bleeding profusely.
From the time I arrived at Roane Medical Center to register for emergency care, I was treated with kindness, concern and patience.
The people who helped included Laura Smith in triage, Austin the R.N. and Jennifer King, P.A., who expertly placed 23 stitches in my arm.
They were above the best.
I cannot recall the names of the other ER and X-ray staff members, but my appreciation extends to all.
