Carolyn Moore gets a well-deserved break, visiting with other caregivers like herself while bright hues are painted on their fingernails.
For years, she cared for her husband Billy, who suffers from dementia, at home before she had to put him in a nursing home.
“I had him at home I guess four years,” Moore said.
“Last year, he fell and broke his pelvis. He couldn’t stand up, so I had to go take him to the nursing home.
“I’m down there pretty regular.”
