Cherokee Middle School eighth-graders took over Roane State Community College.
As part of Roane State’s College Student for a Day program this week, the 168 students were divided into groups and took classes on topics like speech and teamwork, interactive science classes and hands-on EMT and paramedic courses.
“It is a lot more interesting than I thought it would be,” said Sierra Lay.
Her favorite part was the chemistry lab.
“We got to pop balloons with dry ice,” she said.
