It took a while, but Eric Gallaher has finally been moved to a state prison for his conviction on voluntary manslaughter and drug charges.
He reported to the Roane County Jail on July 27, 2015 to start serving a nine-year sentence.
He remained there until Aug. 11, when he was transferred to the Bledsoe County Correctional Complex.
Attorney Jedidiah McKeehan represented Gallaher. He said he was hoping Gallaher, who is from Harriman, would stay at the Roane County Jail for the duration of his prison sentence.
