Three people pleaded guilty in federal court on Wednesday for their roles in an area methamphetamine conspiracy.
Roane County residents Amanda Wells and Lamar England, and Morgan County resident Clarence Laymance are tentatively scheduled to be sentenced on Aug. 2.
Each appeared before U.S. District Judge Pamela Reeves on Wednesday at the federal courthouse in Knoxville. Wells, 28, and England, 48, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute 5 grams or more of meth. Laymance, 45, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute 50 grams or more of meth.
