Graduation season is almost here.
“We’re looking forward to graduation,” Roane County Director of Schools Russell K. Jenkins said. “Every year it’s the pinnacle of our seniors’ accomplishments.”
The graduation dates have been set for seniors attending Roane County Schools.
Up first is students enrolled at the Roane County Virtual Academy. They are scheduled to graduate on May 7 at 5 p.m. at Harriman High School. GAP students are scheduled to graduate the same day at 6 p.m. That graduation will also take place at Harriman High School.
Seniors at Roane County High School are scheduled to graduate on May 10 at 7:30 p.m.
Seniors at Harriman High School, Midway High School and Rockwood High School are all scheduled to graduate on May 11. Harriman High School’s ceremony is scheduled to start that day at 9 a.m. Midway High School’s graduation is scheduled to start at 11 a.m. Rockwood High School’s graduation ceremony is scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m.
Seniors attending Oliver Springs Academy are scheduled to graduate on May 14 at 7:30 p.m.
“Hopefully we have good weather and if we don’t, hopefully we’ll have our air conditioners working in our gyms,” Jenkins said. “We love to celebrate our seniors and their accomplishments.”
