The Drug Enforcement Administration’s (DEA) annual National Prescription Drug Take Back Day will take place on Saturday, April 27 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This biannual event is hosted by the Roane County Anti-Drug Coalition (RCADC) in partnership with the Roane County Sheriff’s Office and the Harriman, Kingston, Rockwood and Oliver Springs Police Departments. Prescription Take Back Day aims to provide the safe, convenient, and responsible means to dispose of prescription, over-the-counter and pet medication.

The Prescription Drug Take Back Day locations in Roane County where citizens can safely dispose of their unused, unwanted or expired medication are: Walgreens-Harriman, Kingston- City Hall, Walmart-Rockwood, Food City-Oliver Springs and CVS-Harriman.
