    Center Hill: Fishing is good. Water temperature is 52 degrees; lake is rising. Several Bass are being caught on small jigs, while fishing channel banks in 15-25 feet of water. A few fish are being caught while jigging spoons under shad in 25-40 feet of water. Crappie fishing is slow with a few fish being caught under boat docks in 20 feet of water.

    Center Hill: Fishing is good. Water temperature is 60 degrees; lake is slowly rising. Lots of bass are being caught on drop shots and spoons, while fishing under schooling shad, in 20-40 feet of water. A few crappie are being caught on minnows around sunken brush in 15 feet of water.

    Center Hill: Fishing is good. Water temperature is 61 degrees; lake is stable. A few bass are being caught while jigging spoons under minnows in 30 feet of water. Crappie fishing is fair on jigs and minnows while fishing brush in 15 feet of water.

    Center Hill: Fishing is slow. Water temperature is 60 degrees; lake is stable. A few Kentucky’s are being caught while drop shotting and jigging spoons under schooling shad. Crappie fishing is fair using jigs and minnows in laydown trees in 5-25 feet of water.

  • Ventura named SEAFWA Officer of the Year

    Mark Ventura, of the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency, has received the prestigious honor of being named as the Tennessee Southeastern Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies (SEAFWA) Wildlife Officer of the Year. Ventura was presented the award during the 65rd Annual SEAFWA Conference that the TWRA hosted in Nashville.

    The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Commission heard several topics concerning commercial fishing and also approved the 2012 sport fishing regulations among business at a recent meeting.

  • TWRA releases walleye into Watts Bar Lake

    The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency has established a walleye stocking program in the Watts Bar Reservoir by recently releasing more than 220,000 fingerlings in the lake. The young walleye were raised at the Eagle Bend Fish Hatchery and were stocked in various locations around the reservoir to augment sauger stocking in Watts Bar.
