  • Midway Middle splits with Oliver...

     

    The Oliver Springs Middle School Bobcats and Lady ’Cats traveled to Midway Saturday and would split a pair of games with the Green Wave.

    Oliver Springs’ win came in the girls game as the Lady ’Cats shook off a slow start to win going away, 40-19.

  • OSMS battles Lenoir City

     

    It wasn’t pretty at times, but the Oliver Springs Middle School Lady Bobcats picked up a 41-21 win over the Lenoir City Middle School Lady Panthers on Monday night. 

    The opening period was a dominant one for the Lady 'Cats as they took the 9-0 lead at the end of the quarter. 

  • Tigers split with Bears

     

    The Tellico Plains Lady Bears sent the Rockwood Lady Tigers to "board"-ing school, using a nearly two-to-one rebounding advantage along with Jasmine Harris scoring 21 points en route to a 53-35 win over the Lady Tigers on Friday evening. 

  • Devils, Green Wave split 3-A...

     

    Friday night was a good night for the Midway Green Wave and Harriman Lady Blue Devils as both picked up key District 3-A wins in a set of game’s played at Harriman’s Richard D. Pickell Gymnasium.

  • Harriman, Midway battle in close...

     

     The Harriman Middle School Lady Devils and Blue Devils completed season sweeps against Midway with a pair of wins Monday night at Harriman. Both Harriman teams got close wins late in November and picked up two more close wins to get the sweep Monday.

    That’s about all that is known about a buzzer-beating tip-in that gave the Oliver Springs Bobcats a thrilling 54-53 victory over Wartburg Monday night in a key District 4-A contest for both teams.

    Thursday marked the first day that school had started back for the Rockwood Middle School Tigers and the Oliver Springs Bobcats as they got an extended break because of inclement weather.

  • MMS battles Lenoir City

     

    On a night where defense was the name of the game, the Midway Middle School Green Wave split a pair of games at Lenoir City.

    The Lady Waves opened the evening with a tough 22-16 loss at the hands of the Lady Panthers, but Midway got its revenge in the nightcap game, winning 26-23.

  • Griffith girls lead Lady ’Cats...

     

    The "Wonder Twin" powers of Emily and Rachel Griffith were activated in the final period of the Oliver Springs Lady Bobcats 63-54 win over the Loudon Lady Redskins Thursday night.
