    Darrell Ruffner’s Midway Green Wave lost a close non district game at home Monday against Coalfield, 50-49, but the Green Wave bounced back in fine fashion Tuesday with a 76-47 victory at Tennessee School for the Deaf (TSD) in a District 3-A contest.

    The Cherokee Yellow Jackets and Lady Jackets picked up a pair of huge wins Tuesday evening as both squads knocked off North Middle in the semifinal round of the Area 4 AAA Tournament being played at Cherokee.

  • Griffis' 31 not enough for...

    Kingston junior Brandon Griffis had a bittersweet night on Tuesday during the Jackets District 4-AA contest at Christian Academy of Knoxville.

    Individually, Griffis had the best night of his career as the Jacket wing buried five three-pointers and scored a career-high 31 points.
