Jim Bledsoe (Jamestown), Harold Cannon (Lenoir City), and Trey Teague (Jackson) are the three new members of the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Commission. The new appointees, who received their confirmations to the commission in the late spring, recently attended an orientation session at the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency’s state office.

The Soccer Club of Oak Ridge (SCOR) will be holding a camp for soccer players in the Boys Under-11 and 12 age groups. 

The camp will be held in Oak Ridge at the Milt Dickens Field Aug. 8-13, from 5-7 p.m. each evening and 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Saturday. 

Midway’s always strong softball team received two more awards recently as sophomore pitcher Alex Richardson and junior center fielder Danielle Borum were named to the Tennessee Sports Writers Association (TSWA) Class A All-State Softball Team.
