    The Mt. Pisgah Christian Academy Patriots and Lady Patriots split a pair of games last week with Tri-Cities Christian.

    The Lady Patriots had a rough night as they dropped a 63-20 decision, but Mt. Pisgah got their revenge in final game of the evening, winning 68-57.

    The Harriman Middle School Lady Blue Devils would see their 2012-13 basketball season come to an end Monday evening, as Baron Tapp’s squad was knocked off by Oneida, 27-17, in the quarterfinal round of the TMSAA Class AA East Tennessee Sectional Tournament being played at Pigeon Forge Middle School.

  • Blue Devils sweep Cherokees

    The Harriman Lady Blue Devils had to withstand a torrid three-point barrage from the Greenback Lady Cherokees, but managed to hold on for a gutsy 41-36 win Friday evening at home.

  • Bobcats split with Wartburg

    The Oliver Springs Bobcats hosted Wartburg Friday night in a key District -4A contest for both schools.  

    For the Lady Bobcats, running the floor and pushing the tempo was key to their success as they cruised to a 65-40 victory.

  • Mt. Pisgah picks up sweep

    The Mt. Pisgah Christian Academy Patriots and Lady Patriots  picked up a pair of wins last Tuesday against Tennessee Christian Prep.

    The Lady Patriots needed overtime to pick up a 45-37 victory while the Patriot boys cruised to a 51-33 victory.

  • Mattox honored by Roane State

    Bernadette Mattox, a star basketball player at Roane State Community College in the 1970s who has had a ground-breaking and successful coaching career, was honored at the Jan. 26 basketball games for her induction into the Tennessee Community College Athletic Association Hall of Fame.

    Thursday night was a good news, bad news type of night for the Cherokee Yellow Jackets and Lady Jackets at the Area 4-AAA Tournament at Cleveland Middle School.

    The Cherokee Yellow Jackets and Lady Jackets both picked up wins earlier this week in the Area 4-AAA Tournament being played at Cleveland Middle School.

    Cherokee’s boys opened play Monday afternoon and downed Sweetwater, 46-31.

    The Midway Lady Green Waves completed a season sweep of the Coalfield Lady Yellow Jackets, rallying from a halftime deficit to win 45-43. 

    Coalfield’s boys, on the other hand, snapped a three-game losing streak and earned a season sweep of the Green Wave, winning 60-48 at the John Jackson Memorial Gymnasium Tuesday night.
