    The Midway Lady Green Waves picked up another non-district win with a 10-3 victory over Sequoyah Monday evening at Midway. 

    Lady Wave pitcher Alex Richardson had few problems against Sequoyah, scattering six hits and three runs. She walked one and had five strikeouts in picking up the victory.

    It wasn’t pretty at times, but the Harriman Lady Blue Devils picked up a 10-4 victory over Rockwood in a big District 3-A game for both teams Monday evening at Harriman’s Flour Mill Flats.

    The Kingston Yellow Jackets entered Tuesday winless in District 4-AA play. The Loudon Redskins were undefeated in district play, with one of their wins being a 9-2 victory over Kingston 24 hours earlier.

    But none of that mattered at Southwest Point’s Legion Field as the Jackets rolled to a 7-3 victory over the Redskins.

    The Oliver Springs Bobcats used a strong showing from Caleb Armetta on the mound and a pair of big innings at the plate Monday to knock off Oakdale, 12-2, in a District 4-A game at Arrowhead Park.

    Armetta went the distance Monday, allowing only five hits and one walk while recording seven strikeouts. Both Oakdale runs were unearned.

  • Tigers blank Devils, 10-0

    Roane County’s biggest baseball rivalry took center stage Monday as the Rockwood Tigers traveled to Paper Maker Field to take on Harriman.

    The game didn’t live up to its billing, however, as the Tigers used a seven-run fifth inning to roll to a 10-0 victory over the Blue Devils.
