    In what was being billed as the regular season district championship game, Oliver Springs turned it into a 48-8 rout of Sunbright in middle school football action last Thursday night to clinch the 2010 championship.

    The Rockwood Middle School Tigers rolled to their seventh easy win of the season as Scott Harvey's squad picked up a 42-6 victory over visiting Wartburg.

  • Waves downed by Cherokees, 40-14

    A promising first quarter turned into a nightmare for the Midway Green Waves Friday night against Greenback. The Waves jumped out to a 14-3 lead at the end of the first quarter, but saw the Cherokees roll off 37 unanswered points in the next three quarters to get a 40-14 win.

  • Jolley's 3 TDs leads Tigers...

    In what can be best described as a good old-fashioned slugfest, the Rockwood Tigers pounced on the Grace Christian Academy Rams for a 23-21 win Friday night at Civitan Field.
    “It was a great win for us tonight and it puts us right back in the thick of things with the district,” said an ecstatic Rockwood head coach John Webb.
    In what turned out to be a seesaw affair, Grace got the ball first and marched 69 yards in six plays to score on a 55-yard Parker Shelton to Michael McCoy touchdown strike.
    The PAT was good as the Rams held a 7-0 with 9:26 to go in the opening quarter.

  • Bobcats blast Blue Devils, 48-20

     

    The trip might have been a long one, but it was a good one for the Oliver Springs Bobcats Friday night as Wiley Brackett's squad blasted Jellico, 48-20.

    For Oliver Springs, Friday's victory was expected, but big nonetheless as the Bobcats are now 4-2 overall and 2-1 in District 4-A.

  • Blue Devils wallop Tellico...

     

    After opening the season with losses in two of their first three games, the Harriman Blue Devils have now won three straight as Travis Tapp's squad traveled to Tellico Plains Friday night and routed the Bears on their homecoming night, 34-0.

  • Lady 'Cats down Oneida, 3-2

    In what has to be one of the biggest wins in the history of the Oliver Springs Lady Bobcats soccer program, the Lady ‘Cats stunned Oneida 3-2 Tuesday night when the Lady 'Cats received a clutch goal from Kellie Ball. 

  • Kingston wins three in OR Classic

    The Kingston program had an outstanding day Saturday in the Oak Ridge Classic in week five of the Tennessee Valley League.

  • Roane teams gear up for week 6

    Week 6 of the high school football season is here and some Roane County fans are in for a long trip Friday night as three of Roane County's five football teams will be on the road.
