Oliver Springs High School seniors Dustin Mayton and Hayden Everett represented Tennessee at the Southeastern Conference Bass Fishing Championship on Sept. 29 at Lake Wylie along the border of North and South Carolina.

The Oliver Springs football program has had a great two weeks in the Tennessee Valley Athletic Association. The Bobcats swept Kingston in week 6 and then swept Midway in the seventh week.
Friday night will be a busy night for Roane County football fans, as the county’s five high school teams will be playing at five different places.
For the second straight year, the Cherokee Yellow Jackets have completed a perfect regular season. The Jackets completed the task with a 32-6 victory at Oliver Springs.
After Harriman won the regular season Clinch Valley Conference Class A title two weeks ago with a dominant run game, they hoped to continue that play last Thursday against Clinton on homecoming.
The Midway Middle School Green Wave completed a great regular season after they rolled past Rockwood, 27-0, last Thursday at Rockwood.
Friday night’s encounter with the Oneida Indians left the Oliver Springs Bobcats shell-shocked as the Indians doled out a 28-0 triumph over the Bobcats.
