    After posting a 5-6 record in 2012, Wiley Brackett’s Oliver Springs Bobcats were rewarded with 10 players being named to the 2012 All-District 4-A Football Team.

  • Jackets battle 'Cats

    Cherokee battled with Sweetwater Tuesday night and split with the Wildcats.  

    The Lady Jackets cruised to a 29-14 victory led by Rachel Baggett and Piper Nunley.  The boys were led by Jake Reynolds and Tyler Thurman, but came up a little short in the fourth quarter losing by a final score of 32-30.

    Harriman swept a pair of basketball games from Wartburg in middle school action Monday night.

  • Kingston splits with Meigs County

    The Kingston Yellow Jackets and Lady Jackets traveled to Decatur Thursday night to complete their season series with Meigs County. 

  • Blue Devils split with Greenback

    The Harriman Blue Devils snapped a three-game losing streak Tuesday night by going on the road and knocking off Greenback, 75-61.

    The Kingston Lady Jackets desperately needed a shot of confidence after a rocky season in district competition. On Tuesday night, they got that confidence-booster with a convincing 50-30 road win over the Scott Lady Highlanders. 

  • Mt. Pisgah knocks off Maryville...

    The Mt. Pisgah Christian Academy Patriots hosted Maryville Christian Tuesday and picked up a split against the Eagles and Lady Eagles.

    In the girls game, Mt. Pisgah held a three-point lead after three periods of play, but couldn’t hold on down the stretch as Maryville Christian picked up a 53-44 victory.

  • Lady 'Cats take control of...

    The Oliver Springs girls and Wartburg boys stayed in control of District 4-A with impressive wins Tuesday night.

    The Lady ‘Cats downed Wartburg 54-41 in the first game of the evening, and that win gives Michelle Christopher’s squad a two-game lead in district play.

  • Rockwood picks up road split

    The Rockwood Tigers and Oakdale Lady Eagles used a similar path to victory Tuesday night as both survived a low scoring first half before picking up the pace offensively in the second half on their way to easy victories.
    The Lady Eagles took the floor first and picked up a 41-21 victory and that was followed by Rockwood’s boys knocking off the home team, 74-42.
    Both teams return to action Friday night. Rockwood travels to Tellico Plains for a District 3-A contest while Oakdale hosts Wartburg in a District 4-A battle.

  • Midway stumbles on road

    The Midway Green Wave and Lady Waves made the long trip to Tellico Plains Tuesday night, but the trip was not a good one as the Bears and Lady Bears took both games from Midway.
    The girls game would see the Lady Bears grab a big early lead and cruise to a 61-46 victory. The second game of the evening was a barn burner as overtime was needed for Tellico Plains to pick up a 56-55 victory.
    Midway will look to rebound from the tough losses Friday night when they host Harriman.
