    Pride is on the line any time Coalfield and Oliver Springs meet on the gridiron. The Bobcats were very proud following their convincing 42-14 win at Coalfield last Thursday night in middle school football action.

    The old General Neyland maxim about special teams proved to be the difference in the game Thursday night between the Sunbright Tigers and the Midway Middle School Green Waves as Sunbright’s Skyler Bunch 70-yard kickoff return for a touchdown and ensuing two-point conversion was enough to give the Tigers an 8-6 win. 

  • Cherokee puts up 50 points in win

    After pummeling Norwood in their season opener, 40-0, the Cherokee Yellow Jackets made it 2-0 recently with a 50-6 victory over Wartburg.

    Cherokee’s offense was unstoppable in the victory as the Yellow Jackets scored on all seven possessions.

    The Harriman Blue Devils will one day put an end to Kingston's winning streak in football, but that day will have to wait at least one more year as the Yellow Jackets travelled to Harriman Friday night and defeated the Blue Devils, 33-15, in a packed house at Wallace Black Field.
