    The Harriman Blue Devils traveled to Knoxville Monday and picked up a 69-55 victory over Tennessee School for the Deaf (TSD). 

  • Rockwood splits with Sunbright

    The Rockwood Tigers and Lady Tigers played a rare set of games on Saturday and the result was a split with visiting Sunbright.

    The girls game would see Rockwood lead from start to finish in knocking off the Morgan County version of the Lady Tigers, 47-34. The boys game would see the visitors from Morgan County knocking off the home team, 42-35.

    The Kingston Yellow Jackets and Lady Jackets were hoping to make a statement in District 4-AA Tuesday night on the road at Alcoa, but the home team had a different plan as the Tornadoes and Lady Tornadoes swept Kingston.

    “I’m extremely happy,” Stickrod said after the signing. “Chattanooga State has a small campus, which is what I like, and I also have family there so that will be nice.”

    Kingston head coach Colt Narramore faced his former squad from Loudon for the first time Tuesday night in an emotional contest between the Redskins and Jackets.

    When the dust had settled, the Redskins weren’t able to knock off their former coach as Kingston picked up a 58-56 victory in overtime.
