Twenty-four hours after escaping Greenback with a 50-48 victory, the Harriman Blue Devils pulled out another squeaker Tuesday night at Oakdale defeating the Eagles in overtime, 56-47.
Once again, the Kingston Lady Jackets were oh-so-tantalizingly close to an impressive win, but just fell short in the end to the Christian Academy of Knoxville (CAK) Lady Warriors, 54-51.

The Oliver Springs basketball programs returned to action on Tuesday, trying to shake off tough losses against visiting Jackson County on Saturday.
Tuesday night turned out to be a rough night for the Midway Green Waves and Lady Waves as both were knocked off at Coalfield.
The girls game was rough because Midway was clobbered by the Lady Jackets, 68-22.

Before the Rockwood Middle School Tigers went on to win the Area 4 AA tournament in Harriman, they had to get through the semifinal round on Friday, something that didn’t pose much of a problem.
The Cherokee Lady Yellow Jackets were hoping for an Area 4 AAA Tournament championship, but the third place finish they received is still enough to keep their season alive.
Monday night was a good night for the Harriman Blue Devils and Lady Devils as both squads traveled to Greenback and picked up a pair of District 3-A wins over the Cherokees.
The Lady Devils took the floor first and put together a solid performance in picking up a 53-40 victory.
For three periods of play, the Rockwood Lady Tigers held pace with the Wartburg Central Lady Bulldogs, but a 5-1 three-point shooting deficit helped the Lady Bulldogs pick up a 42-30 win.
Good teams win on the road and that’s just what the Roane State Raiderettes did over the weekend as Monica Boles’ squad knocked off conference foes Jackson State and Columbia State.
