It was a festive day in Harriman High School auditorium on National Signing Day last Wednesday, as two senior members of the Region 2-1A runner-up Blue Devils football team signed football scholarships. Treyton Peters, who committed to MTSU last July, signed with the Blue Raiders. He was Region 2-1A’s Lineman of the Year, TSWA All-State, All-Roane County and a finalist for Class A Mr. Football. Langley signed with Bethel University in McKenze, Tennessee, and was All-Region 2-1A, TSWA All-State and All-Roane County. The duo helped the Blue Devil running backs rush for 4,265 yards last season to finish 9-4 overall and 5-1 in the region. Peters, left, and Langley, right, join Coach Travis Tapp.
Langley, Peters to continue football careers

Two of Harriman High School's offensive linemen joined ofter football players across the state to continue their careers at the collegiate level on National Signing Day last Wednesday.

Treyton Peters signed with MTSU, while John Langley signed with Bethel University in McKenze, Tennessee. Both helped the Blue Devils rush for 4,265 yards this season, and to a 9-4 overall record and a 5-1 Region 2 1A mark for Coach Travis Tapp. Harriman defeated Unaka 60-14 and Coalfield 40-20 in the first two rounds of the playoffs, before losing 56-28 at Greenback.
