A 4-year-old was found in the road on Oct. 27.

Rockwood Police Officer Jared Hall responded. The incident report he filed indicates the child was on his way to a store to get a candy bar.

“I went to 250 Brown West Drive, where I spoke to Briar Mays who told me she found a small boy walking in the road at the stop sign in front of College Apartments,” Hall wrote in the report. “She told me that he told her he was headed to the store to get candy.”

The child was able to show Mays where he lived, so she walked him back to his home.
