The Kingston Lady Jackets soccer team faced off against a tough Hardin Valley Academy Lady Hawks squad and found themselves in trouble, falling by a 7-0 tally.

The tell-tale sign of this game was Hardin Valley taking more than 40 shot attempts with Kingston only taking four in the game.

The game was deadlocked at 0-0 until the 27-minute mark when Heather Brown scored on a corner kick for the Lady Hawks to make the score 1-0. Four minutes later, Ally Kington scored another goal for Hardin Valley, making the score 2-0.

Kington was at it again at the 35-minute mark, making the score 3-0 on a free kick, which is what the score would be at halftime.

At the 55-minute mark, Kington scored her third goal to make the score 4-0.

A very frightening moment occurred in the game for the Lady Jackets as senior captain Christina Neal went down with an apparent shin injury, but she would return to the game later on.

With five minutes left in the game, Maddie Beal made the score 5-0 for the Lady Hawks. Three minutes later, Kington scored her fourth goal to make the score 6-0 and before the final whistle sounded, adding insult to injury, Kington scored her fifth goal to make the final score 7-0.

Kington (5 goals), Heather Brown (1 goal), and Maddie Beal (1 goal) all scored for the Lady Hawks.

Kingston was led by the goal-keeping of Michaela Grubb (23 saves) and Christina Neal (11 saves).
