Kingston blows out Scott

The Kingston Lady Jackets started their district softball tournament with a four inning 14-0 win against Scott County Monday evening in Alcoa.

Lady Jacket ace Keylon Reynolds pitched a complete game as well as striking out 10.

Trinity Clements went three-for-four at the plate with three runs batted in.

Clements also hit a walk-off inside the park home run to end the game for Kingston.

Kesney Brown, Reynolds, Emily Thompson, and Mahala Wallace all finished with two-of-three batting with at least two RBIs each, Brown finished with three.

In the 13 hit offensive showing, everyone on the Lady Jacket roster scored and almost everyone got at least one hit.

This sets the stage for the Lady Jackets to meet Alcoa in the tournament championship.

Kingston and the Lady Tornadoes split during the regular season and will be a rematch from last year’s tournament when the Lady Jackets fought out of the loser’s bracket to take the district title with two straight wins against Alcoa.
