Physicality was at an all-time high in the soccer game between the Harriman Lady Blue Devils and the Oliver Springs Lady Bobcats as the Lady 'Cats came from behind on the strength of a pair of Katie Harvey goals en route to a 2-1 win over Harriman.

“We basically struggled tonight,” said Oliver Springs head coach Tom Hughes. “As well as we did against Oneida, we struggled that much tonight. I think we took Harriman for granted and came out absolutely flat. We did a lot better job in the second half after we made some changes on defense and my hat’s off to Harriman's goal-keeper as she made some great saves tonight.”

Harriman struck first seven minutes into the contest with a goal from Callie Scandlyn to make the score 1-0.

Oliver Springs came roaring back at the 39-minute mark of the first half when Katie Harvey scored on what would have been about a 35-yard field goal in football to tie the game at 1-1 at the half.

Oliver Springs scored their second, and winning, goal of the game when Kellie Ball found Katie Harvey for Harvey's second goal of the contest to allow the Lady 'Cats to eke out a 2-1 victory.

Oliver Springs had a 19-18 edge in shots on goal with Katie Harvey (2 goals) and Kayla Crisp (13 saves) leading the charge for Oliver Springs.

Sabrina Pelfrey (15 saves) led Harriman in goal while Scandlyn scored the lone goal.

"I think in the second half, we passed the ball much better." said Coach Hughes “But we still need to work on our mid-fielding play, that's been our problem all year.”
