Literacy grants to be presented to groups in Roane

-A A +A

The Oak Ridge Breakfast Rotary and Altrusa International of Oak Ridge work together to host an annual Lunch 4 Literacy every year.

The proceeds are given to organizations that promote literacy in the East Tennessee area.

The grants from last year’s event will be awarded at 7 a.m. March 5 during the Oak Ridge Breakfast Rotary meeting at Tech 2020 in Commerce Park. This allows educators to get back to their work.

The winners are Roane Imagination Library, Bower Elementary School and the TORCH, a Roane State Community College tutoring for adults.
