SATURDAY, APRIL 30
• Roane County Sheriff’s Office will be part of the National Drug Take-Back Initiative. Authorities will collect unwanted prescription drugs from the public from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Walgreens at 1797 Roane State Hwy., Midtown. No liquids will be accepted.

FRIDAY, MAY 6
• Roane State Community College’s music department’s scholarship auditions will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday in Room O-128 on the main campus between Harriman and Rockwood. All prospective, incoming and present Roane State students are welcome to audition. Awards apply to music department ensembles and vary in size and commitment. TUESDAY, MAY 10
• A two-day session of AARP driver safety classes will be from noon to 4 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday in Douglas E. Wilson Community Center at 710 N. Chamberlain Ave., Rockwood. Call instructor Diana Davis at 354-0450 to register or for details.
