The Roane County VA Clinic is hosting a “Job Board” in the lobby of its clinic in Harriman.

Located next to Harbor Freight Tools, the clinic provides services and support to Roane County veterans.

“We thank all of our veterans for their invaluable service to our country,” said Rachael Rana-Ruby, social worker at the clinic.

Veterans looking for work can post their skills if they are available. Businesses or private individuals can also post available jobs.

“Any veteran can place their name and contact info to our board and anyone in the community looking for someone to complete odd jobs/honey-do-lists/labor work, etc. can look to our board, find the right  person for the job and give much needed work to our local veterans,” Rana-Ruby said.

The board can be accessed 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday to Friday. The board was created after suggestions by the Patient Advocacy Board. Future plans include online access to the board, she said.
