• Flowers, dinner for Ruby Julian’s 96th

    Ruby Julian celebrated her 96th birthday on Feb. 21.

    She was honored with flowers and a dinner on Feb. 23 in Walnut Hill Baptist Church.

    Julian is the wife of the late Homer Julian of Harriman.

    She is the mother of Homer Julian Jr. and Tom Julian and his wife, Pat.

    She has four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

  • Rains celebrates 90th birthday

    Johnnie “MaMaw” Rains celebrated her 90th birthday on Feb. 15 with a party given by her children, Jerry, Susan and Mike, in Victory Baptist Church, Kingston.

    She celebrated with relatives and friends and thanks those who attended to make it a special day.

    Rains has eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

    Bradley Shane Lewallen and Lindsey Elizabeth Evans, together with their families, announce their forthcoming marriage.

    She is a registered nurse at Parkwest Medical Center, Knoxville.

    The prospective groom is the son of Ray Lewallen and Cynthia Reynolds of Huntsville.

  • Caydence Darnell LaSalle

    Caydence Darnell LaSalle was born at 8:29 a.m. Feb. 8 in Turkey Creek Medical Center, Knoxville.

    He weighed 6 pounds, 6 ounces, and was 20 1/2 inches long.

    He is the son of Felicity Erin LaSalle of Kingston.

    Grandparents are Layla LaSalle and Tony LaSalle, both of Kingston.

    Great-grandparents are Debbie Aiello and Tony Aiello, both of Kingston.

  • Guettner to be honored on 90th

    William C. “Bill” Guettner of Kingston will celebrate his 90th birthday with a gathering from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Feb. 22 in New Midway Baptist Church fellowship hall.

    All relatives and friends are invited. No gifts are requested.

    Guettner was born on Feb. 22, 1924, to Christie H. and Nanny Tutterow Guettner.

    He was married to Josephine Soward Guettner from 1948 until her death in 2001.

    He has a daughter and son-in-law, Wanda and Russ Limburg; a grandson, Nathan; and a great-grandson, James William Limburg.

  • Five generations in Harriman

  • Mr. & Mrs. Kinser 70th

    Glen and Nadine Kinser will celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary during a reception hosted by Jack and Diane Woolum.

    The reception will be at 4 p.m. Feb. 2 in Pentecostal Lighthouse Church, Harriman.

    All relatives and friends are invited. The couple requests no gifts.

    The Kinsers were married on Feb. 3, 1944, in Harlan, Ky. He is now 90, and she is 89.

  • Zackary Culleton

    Zackary Culleton turned 6 years old on Dec. 5.

    He celebrated on Dec. 8 with a panda party attended by 30 relatives and friends in Children’s Museum of Oak Ridge.

    He is the son of Holly Culleton and Shawn Culleton.

    Grandparents are Len and Gina Jackson of Harriman, and Connie and Dave Pulk of Knoxville.

    Billie and Chuck Beach of Oliver Springs are described by Zackary’s Grandmother Jackson as his “almost grandparents.”

    Zackary has a 10-year-old brother and best friend, Josiah.

  • Robbins turns 101 and still going strong

    Addie “Mac” Robbins turned 101 years old on Dec. 1.

    She celebrated her birthday Thanksgiving weekend with family at Jamestowne Assisted Living, Kingston.
