  • A Lady Devil of a time at Disney

    The Harriman Lady Blue Devils took advantage of their spring break week by heading south to Orlando, Florida to participate in the Disney High School Spring Training at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at the Walt Disney Resort.

    Harriman head coach Chasity Lowery was super proud of her team as they were the only Class single A school that participated and competed against larger schools including six time Texas state champion Fort Bend Christian Academy.

    Tuesday marked the first day of spring and in East Tennessee that meant that people were wearing gym shorts and t shirts yesterday, while people were bundled up today talking about the possibility of snow. It always means that high school soccer is here and the Harriman Blue Devils took the field on Tuesday to host the Cherokee’s of Greenback.

  • Harriman crushes Oak Ridge

    After a week of hard core softball at the Disney ESPN Sports Complex, the Lady Devils came home and traveled to Class AAA Oak Ridge and soundly defeated the Wildcats by a final score of 17-4.

    Oak Ridge jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the first as Harriman went three up three down.

  • Blue Devils declaw Tellico

    The weather was starting to warm up a little on Thursday afternoon and that was a good sign for the Harriman High School soccer team as they took the field against the Tellico Plains Bears.

    The Harriman Blue Devils came right off a 4-1 victory Tuesday night.

    The Blue Devils picked that win up in what was a very cold night.

    The Devils were able to turn around on Thursday and beat the Bears, 4-1.

  • Green Wave wins snowy twin-bill

    Midway traveled to Harriman on Wednesday evening and swept the Blue Devils in a double header by scores of 7-1 and 3-0.

    The Green Waves got their bats going early as Brendan Burnum led off with a double to left center and Gabe Moore’s blooper fell in between 2nd base and center field to put runners on 2nd and 3rd for C.J. Huff whose infield hit scored Burnum. With runners on the corners, Andrew Burton’s grounder to 2nd scored Moore to make the score 2-0 at the end of first.

  • Lady Devils come from behind

    The Harriman Lady Devils spoiled the Midway Lady Waves’ softball opener by winning, 9-3 Thursday.

    Autumn Phillips started on the mound for Harriman and quickly got her team’s first strikeout of the game but an infield error allowed Emma Hill to take second base followed by a RBI single by Sophie Patterson.

    A double by Lucy Chapman scored Patterson followed by an RBI double by Anna Bosnak to give Midway a 3-0 lead.

  • Kingston can’t get bats going

    The Kingston Yellow Jackets couldn’t get the bats going in the baseball season opener against Grace Christian, losing, 8-3, Tuesday evening.

    Kingston started strong with a run in the top of the first inning.

    The advantage was short lived.

    Grace scored three in the bottom of the inning to put the Jackets into a hole.

    They added two more in the second to make the score 5-1.

    Before Kingston count push across another run in the fifth inning, Grace had tacked on another two runs to make the score 7-1.
