  • Blue Devils fall at Grace


    The Grace Christian Academy Lady Rams used 14 steals to guide them to a decisive 57-37 win over the Harriman Lady Blue Devils on a frigid Tuesday evening in East Tennessee. 

  • Bobcats split with Jellico

     After struggling to a 35-28 victory over Jellico at home in December, the Lady ’Cats made the trip to Jellico last Friday, but there would be no struggle in the rematch as Michelle Christopher’s squad rolled to a 50-31 victory.

  • Tigers pick up District 3-A sweep


    Rockwood’s basketball teams visited Greenback’s new gymnasium for the first time Tuesday evening and the Tigers and Lady Tigers felt right as home as they took a pair of games from the Cherokees.

    In the girls game, Rockwood started a little slow, but eventually found their groove in picking up a 39-26 victory.

  • CMS sweeps North


    The Cherokee Lady Yellow Jackets put together perhaps their finest half of the year last Friday in rallying to defeat North Middle School, 47-40.

    The Lady Jackets got out to a bit of a slow start as the Lady Stars led 12-8 after one period of play. 

  • Rough night for Green Wave


    The Midway Green Wave and Lady Waves made the trip to Putnam County Saturday night to take on Monterey, but the trip was not a good one as the home-standing Wildcats and Lady ‘Cats took a pair of close games.

  • Lady ’Cats advance to Area 4-AA...

     The Oliver Springs Middle School Lady Bobcats advanced to Saturday’s TMSAA Area 4-AA Championship Game after easing past Harriman, 31-23, Tuesday evening at Midway Middle School.

    Oliver Springs’ opponent will be Wartburg. The Lady Bulldogs downed Rockwood in Tuesday’s other semifinal contest, 38-13.

  • Raiders wipe out Tigers


    Ashley Cox scored 21 points and pulled down seven rebounds to lead the Roane State Raiderettes to a 73-63 win over the Chattanooga State Lady Tigers Saturday evening at Roane State.

    Roane State started the game on a 9-4 swing, guided by five points from Makayla Cordell and four from Nicole Hassler. 

  • Lady Patriots split games with...


    The Mt. Pisgah Lady Patriots split a pair of games on Friday and Monday.

    On Friday, the Lady Patriots dropped a 23-22 heartbreaker at Apostolic Christian Academy (ACA) in Maryville, but the bounced back on Monday with a 47-21 home victory over Christian Academy of the Smokies (CAS).

    The Midway Green Wave swept the season series against Greenback with a 57-35 win on Hall of Fame night Friday at Midway.
