    The Middle School Green Waves completed a sweep of Philadelphia Thursday night with a tight 34-33 win. Midway won at Philadelphia in opening game of the season. 

    Midway improved to 4-6 with the win.

  • Lady Devils top Spring City, 26-...

     The Harriman Middle School Lady Blue Devils raced out to a big first quarter lead and never looked back in picking up a 26-15 victory at Spring City Thursday night.

    Five different players scored for Harriman in the opening period as Baron Tapp’s squad led 13-0 after six minutes of play.

  • Midway Middle battles Panthers


    The Midway Middle School Green Waves split games with Lenoir City Monday night with the Lady Waves falling, 32-29, and the Green Waves winning, 39-32.

    The Lady Waves fell to 2-7 with the loss while the Green Waves are 3-6 on the season. 

  • Mt. Pisgah splits with ACS


    The Mt. Pisgah Christian Academy Patriots and Lady Patriots traveled to Knoxville Monday and split a pair of games with Apostolic Christian School (ACS).

    The Lady Patriots took the floor first and dropped a 42-34 decision, but Mt. Pisgah bounced back with a 62-42 victory in the boys game.

    The shooting for the first three periods of the girls game between the Wartburg Central Middle School Lady Bulldogs and the Harriman Middle School Lady Blue Devils was cold as ice, but in the final period, the Lady 'Dogs bark finally got some bite in the form of a 16-2 surge in the final stanza to take the 34-19 win. 

  • Bobcats, Eagles split District 4...


    The Oliver Springs Bobcats and Oakdale Eagles split a pair of District 4-A games Tuesday at Oliver Springs.

    The Lady ’Cats opened district play with a 47-39 victory over the Lady Eagles, but the Bobcats dropped their first district contest, 60-46.

    In middle school sports you normally have two games played, a girl’s and a boy’s game. Both games you would love to come out with victories, but some nights that just isn’t the case. 

  • RMS leaves Harriman with two wins


    The Rockwood Middle School Tigers and Lady Tigers had a good trip to Harriman Tuesday night as both picked up victories over the Blue Devils.

    The first game of the evening was tight throughout, but the Lady Tigers used a pair of free throws from Camryn Evans with 35.4 seconds remaining to pull out a 20-19 victory.

  • Blue Devils pick up district...


    After a season filled with near-misses for the Harriman Lady Blue Devils, the blue and white squad earned a 59-47 win over the Greenback Lady Cherokees Tuesday night. 

    The victory was big for the Lady Devils as they had dropped their first two District 3-A contests before knocking off the Lady Cherokees.

  • Midway takes broom to Jackets

    It’s always a big night south of the river when Kingston pays a visit to Midway. Tuesday night was an especially sweet one for the Green Waves when they pulled off a rare sweep against the visiting Yellow Jackets.

    It was also a fairly wild night with plenty of pushing, shoving and intense play. Each of the four teams involved picked up technical fouls in the raucous atmosphere in the completely filled Boyd Woody Gymnasium.
