    The Roane County Lady Knight’s lacrosse squad continued their season in a recent game with West Knox. Despite fighting hard, the Lady Knights couldn’t find the goal often enough, losing 15-3.

  • Harriman finding its groove

    Harriman traveled to Oliver Springs for the first of a two-game series on Tuesday evening and defeated the Bobcats by a final score of 14-1.

    The Blue Devil bats were hot and the Bobcat defense struggled as Noah Dickerson reached on an error to start the game followed by a bunt single down the third base line by Bradley Frost. Dickerson scored on Brandon Turpin’s groundout and Spencer Moore hit a sacrifice fly to send Frost across the plate as Harriman leads 2-0.

  • Lady Waves plucks Eagles

    The Midway Lady Waves broke their winless streak Tuesday evening at home in a big way.

    Midway beat the Oakdale Eagles in a twin-bill with scores of 14-2 and 15-4.

    “They don’t give these wins away in the district,” Midway Coach Rob Vier said. “I told the girls you have to earn them.

    “We’ve been struggling, but we played better tonight.”

    The Lady Waves jumped on Oakdale hurler Destiny Ruppe from the beginning.

    In the first inning, Midway generated four runs on three hits.

  • Blue Devils down undermanned...

    The Harriman Blue Devils played host to the Bobcats of Oliver Springs as the two teams faced off at Riverfront Park in a soccer match Tuesday.

    Harriman celebrated senior night were able to come away with a 4-1 win.

    The Bobcats only dressed eight players for the game and both coaches mentioned it postgame.

    “We came out in the first half with a little bit of the big head because the team thought we had the advantage over them with eight players,” said Harriman Coach Christina VanMeter

  • Lady Jackets edged in close one

    The Kingston Lady Jackets lost 2-1 to King’s Academy Wednesday evening at Fort South West Point. The game was scoreless going into the 10th inning. Although King’s Academy struck first in the top of the 10th, Kingston rallied to score a run. With bases loaded, the Lady Jackets couldn’t complete the rally. Keylon Reynolds pitched the entire game for Kingston.

  • OS takes pair from Devils

    The weather was not kind to the Lady Blue Devils as Monday night’s game with Oliver Springs was not completed due to muddy field conditions which lead to having to play two five inning games at the Lady Bobcats home field on Tuesday night and the previously undefeated in district play Harriman Lady Devils fell to a defensively sound Oliver Springs team by scores of 5-3 and 2-1.

  • Green Wave washes out

    The Rockwood Tigers cinched the top spot in the district Tuesday night after sweeping Midway in a double-header at Midway.

    The Tigers won, 15-3 and 9-7.

    “I was really proud of the way our guys played today,” Rockwood Coach Jake Witter said. “We faced some quality arms from Midway.

    “They’re a quality team and these two wins today solidified us as the one seed in our half of the district in our division.

    “These games were huge for us and on top of that, we were playing on the road.

  • Kingston blanks Rockwood

    Tuesday was great weather for a soccer match, and that’s exactly what happened at Dr. Nat Sugarman Memorial Field in Kington as the Tigers of Rockwood travelled the short trip to Kingston to face the Yellow Jackets.

    It’s been a good week Harriman Lady Devil softball as they defeated inner county rivals Midway and Rockwood to stay undefeated in the district.

    Harriman traveled to Midway on last Thursday and easily defeated the Lady Waves by a final score of 16-1.
