ORNL Federal Credit Union will offer a free shred day in Knoxville and Oak Ridge on Saturday, Oct. 21 starting at 9 a.m. and ending when the trucks are full.
Members are invited to bring any unwanted documents, especially ones containing personal information, to be safely and securely destroyed at no charge. The shred events will be held at ORNL FCU’s Northshore Branch and its headquarters in Oak Ridge.
Due to the limited amount of space available for shredding per truck, each vehicle is permitted to shred up to THREE boxes (15” x 12” x 10” or smaller) or THREE 13-gallon trash cans/bags (or smaller) of paper. Paper is the only acceptable material allowed for shredding.
Each shred day features secure, on-site document destruction. Length of the event is limited to the capacity of the on-site shredding truck(s).
The Oak Ridge location is located at 221 S. Rutgers Ave., Oak Ridge, TN 37830. The Northshore branch is located at 2077 Town Center Blvd., Knoxville, TN 37922.
