TVA will be pulling a new fiber line across the Emory River at mile 5 on Thursday and Friday, March 14 and 15.
The project will take place during daylight hours only. TVA will have two small vessels approximately half a mile above and below the line to warn any vessels approaching the area. Vessels can still transit the area. Both safety vessels will have flashing white/yellow lights and will monitor channel 16. The callsigns for these vessels will be TVA1 (downriver vessel) and TVA2 (upriver vessel).
