The Midway Lady Waves were able to emerge victorious Monday night against the Loudon Lady Braves, winning a hit heavy 11-6 game at home South of the River.
Loudon struck first.
Madalyn Kramer and Arabella Geames each scored a run to put the Lady Braves up 2-0.
Midway wasn’t worried and it showed.
The Lady Waves were able to counter in the bottom of the frame.
Lorelai Langley brought home two on a single and Reese Collier brought in the go ahead thanks to a double to give Midway the 3-2 advantage.
The Lady Waves’ onslaught continued into the second inning.
Midway scored five runs on four hits to take a comfortable 8-2 lead.
Sara Beth Nickell, Chloe Jarnigan, Collier and Kiersten Ruffner all contributed to growing the score for the Lady Waves.
Jamie Cardin doubled in the third, scoring a run to bring the score to 9-2.
Cardin built upon her performance at the plate in the bottom of the fifth, rounding out the scoring by hitting a two-run home run over the center field fence to make it 11-2.
Loudon attempt to rally, but Midway was able to weather things to take the decision.
Langley was the winning pitcher. She allowed 11 hits and six runs in seven innings.
Geames was the losing pitcher.
